Yupz.

Indonesia is a nice and beautiful place.

Depending on which area you visit, Indonesian lifestyle is usually of much slower and relaxed paced compare to the developing countries. If you enjoy such a lifestyle, a stay in Indonesia for a few days will definitely unwind you.

Food in Indonesia are usually served spicy. But it is these spicy delicacies that will leave you craving for more compared to the less spicy ones. One must also not miss tasting "kuehs" - sweet cakes in Indonesia.

Have been to Jakarta and Medan and is looking forward to visit again soon.

I'm from Indonesia. Been in the US for 13 years. I appreciate Indonesia so much more since I've been living here. It's a beautiful country...and in some places, the people are very friendly. You just have to know where to go. Like others said, Bali, Sumba, Sumatra are very beautiful. Borobudur is great also.

I lived there for just two years, but i've been to a lot of places. Bali is superb! from partying, cuisines, culture, the beach..its a really beautiful place. jakarta?..its just a typical big city with pollution and heavy traffics. Borobodur is the place if you want to know more about the hindu way of life.. they have temples that was made with bricks and nothing but the bricks! It is an awesome scenery when you get on top of the temple. There's actually a lot of fun things to do in Indonesia. Oh yeah, its so cheap there...and the food! man! soo damn good.. you really have to try tempeh. And if you are considering going there, dont think twice..Its really nice. :D

Spent six months travelling around the southern islands, Java, Bali, Lombok, Sumba etc. Bali was a bit too touristy for me but beautiful, the next island along is Lombok and i loved it. The people are unbelievably welcoming and the place is just stunning, If you carry on eastwards a couple of islands you come to Flores and then Komodo , home of the famous dragons. There are numerous volcanoes and some of the most beautiful temples you can imagine. Avoid monsoon time if you can as travelling round becomes almost impossible, this is usually sept. or oct. I would love to go back

Yes, many times as I live nearby in Singapore. As people have mentioned, Bali is one of the best vacation spots on earth for a whole host of reasons, but there are some other great islands to discover but are a little bit more adventurous. You could spend years discovering everything.

Sumatra is fantastic for its natural beauty and I quite like the towns around Java for their history. Jakarta is a big city with all of the problems but very high on my list of Asian party towns. Indonesians in general are some of the nicest people to foreigners and one of the reasons we like to go there.

Really a fantastic, little discovered (by Westerners) country but sadly with more demokrasi since Suharto there is a real chance that the religious nuts could win out. That would be a shame for everyone, but mostly the Indonesians.

Nope, but I would really like to go there. I'm from the US and Philippines and I just love the Philippines and I think I might just love Indonesia too. I hope our next layover to the Philippines is in Indonesia! hehe

Yes: Bali and Jakarta come to mind.
Bali is superb, can't say much about Jakarta tho. Heavy traffic, nothing too interesting to check out, and bad pollution.
