Nirvana, possibly Green Day (only because of Dookie though) or the Chillis (because of Blood Sugar Sex Magik), the rest are sell-out modern "rock" bands. I can't believe that you even put Razorlight, Kasabian and bloody Franz Ferdinand in the same category - its an insult!

My personal top 3
Nirvana - Such a huge impact on musuc
Mullet-licker (Metallica) - Classic really
Red Hot Chili peppers - Been around for so long. Original and inventive although the last 2 albums have been a bit wimpy in my opinion. Bring back Blood Sugar Sex Magick!

Marylin, **** Yeah! Then Chillis Green Day and Muse. You've got to be careful, a bunch of them bands aren't rock as most people understand it. Just because they're at Reading, doesn't mean they're any good!

Each of the bands is good...
But I must go with Metallica...
With James Hetfield's exceptional vocals and Kirk Hammett's razor-sharp guitar solo's, along with Lars' amazing drumwork and the recently acquired Robert Trujillo filling the void created by the loss of Cliff Burton on bass guitar, they are without a doubt, the most complete and legendary band on that list.
Listen to "One", "Fade To Black", "Master of Puppets" and for true metal fans listen to "Battery" and you'll see that they are one of the, if no THE, greatest metal band on that list.
Another note to more definitively prove my point, out of all the artists on that list, as great as they may be, Metallica is the ONLY band to be featured as a MTV Icon.
;)
