Kindness is always good and love is the most powerful affect on changing others, but not everyone has the patience to react that way.

thraq is right. I would like to add one thing to what he responded however. There are people in this world dear that unconciously use your desire to be kind to hold you with your own emotions. Those emotions may include feeling that they truly need you. Or that you would feel guilty if you were not there when someone needed you. You see these two feelings can hold you in a bad relationship. It has held many people in bad marriages even.
Another thing, sometimes a person will wallow in his own misery until they know nothing else, some actually begin to enjoy it because it brings them attention, and being kind only enforces the idea that they should continue to wallow. I have on several occasions had to be mean to people just to begin to wake them up. Remember that as galant as kindness may be it is fleeting. Honesty is always the best way to go and many times the two conflict.

I'm a firm believer in that kindness is always good. But it should not be a weakness. I know some would take advantage of our kindness.

It could be asked "good for whom?"
However, I would have to say the answer is dependent on the intentions behind the kindness. For example, a pedophile is kind to a child to gain their trust..is that good?
Certainly not...

kindness and love always good for the humanity. Spreading of love to all the other humanbeings will take us near to God. God is present in the smiles of child and reveal himself from the kindness of people

Being kind is one of the greatest virtues a human can have. However, when kindness is exploited then it's definitely no good.

Kindness with 'wisdom' is always good.
Kindness regardless of things is fool.
A mother too kind to their children, will only harm their children for being spoilt rotten.

I believe there are people who enjoys manipulating others through kindness... and that's not good. That's being deceptive.
