the only long term way is to quit smoking...but in the short term I'd recommend lots of hot water, soap and a good scrubbing brush. It does come off with a good scrub, but unfortunately it can be quite painful to achieve it. You've effectively stained a layer of skin so you need to remove some of it.

To remove stains, rub the fingers with Pumice stone dipped in Lemon juice. A better solution would be to stop smoking, which is an unsightly habit, especially in woman!

I'm not sure it this will work but it is worth trying --- squeeze the juice of a lemon and pour it into a small bowl. Put your fingers there to soak for fifteen minutes while you're watching telly. Make sure there's no cracks in the skin of your fingers or it will really hurt.

euwww that's yucky! you must smoke quite heavily for that to happen, my gran was like that and its an ugly sight.
I recommend you use a toothbrush and some bleach, that's what my Gran used to do..
Or you could just quit and suck on Nicorette gum for a couple of weeks and have yellow free fingers for the rest of your life...
Its not only the skin it turns yellow, but it destroys the teeth also and gives you a damn bad smokers cough, not to mention it makes you age 10 yrs!
Remember your health is your wealth!

firstly rub em' hard with a matchbox, dip em' in bleach
swap hand a bit when you smoke, or get a machine like the beagles use in the test labs, you hardly ever see a beagle with discolored hands through smoking, so they must be good too,you won't have to even touch that nasty ciggie and still get lovely lungs full of smokie
have fun and peace

Well, try soaking your fingers in lemon juice.
Maybe water with a few drops of bleach?
Use a pumice stone to try and remove the surface skin first?
Im only guessing.
Thinking of what I would try if I was in your position.
Better yet, seek advise from a demotologist........ yes.....thats it!

Bleach and a nail brush, you cant be washing your hands properly in the first place, if you give them a good scrub each day you wont have this problem.

HELLO.....
Im a smoker myself and when my finger starts to go a lil yellow I soak them in bleach for 2-3 minutes (it works wonders).
I also heard vinegar and lemon juice works!
Advice for the ladies - Red nail polish is fashionable this year and if you smoke is a great way to cover up nasty yellow nails!!!!!
