He is not really lazy but is probably not motivated.
At work, while motivation would help, it is not 100% necessary. At work he goes through a series of routines, dependent on what type of Job he does, and after a time these routines become easy.
At home things are just the same, he has a set routine daily. This includes rising time, breakfast content, leaving for work time, etc. Then reversed in the evening with TV which becomes a habit, bed time dead on 11 o'clock and maybe if he is lucky sex on a Saturday. He is probably bored out of his mind.
Try to change both his and your daily routines, especially in the evening. Plan holidays and house projects and carry them out together. Even vary what he has at breakfast and dinner. This way he feels that he is not left alone to do things and feels part of the marriage team.
He will start to perk up and once you have got him motivated by doing things together he will not seem to be lazy.

Simply because he's selfish !! Lazy people are selfish, they only think about how they feel , sorry, that's how I feel . Talk to him, explain that you need some help and the days of women doing everything are long gone ! It's not fair that one person should have to do everything while the other takes great pride in being lazy. That is one thing that I really hate, laziness...arghhhhh !!

Because you have more than likely done what we all do, moved in together thinking that you are the lady of the house and done all the chores and looked after him and he has now taken it for granted and wont lift a finger, we even do it when we have kids and then they end up doing nothing for their own kids. If you want to make some changes then I suggest you get started. Start slightly small and go onto bigger and better things. Try to do it discretely without him realising that his is doing as he is told lol.

Hum..Not every man, but most that I know feel like if they work an 8 hour day, they've done enough. Most women that work an 8 hour day come home and work another 4 or 5 keeping the house up, cooking dinner, tend to the children and the list goes on...

he is lazy because he is may have taken advantage of you and knows that you will do all the work around the house or maybe its cos he gets tired everyday working or doing other commitments.
laziness can lead to gaining weight which i have read in a magazine so make sure he gets his regular excercise

I too have one of them, he seriously does not lift a finger in the house and if he gets anything out he leaves it out and he is so untidy, it does drive me to desperation. If I ask him to do anything it ends up in an argument so it is far easier to do it myself. He can find energy to work on his cars until dark but ask him to make a cup of coffee and he looks at me like I've got six heads. Men...

He might be overworked at his job, depressed or have some medical problem. After ruling all these out, have a serious talk with him. If it doesn't work, you both might need to see a minister or counselor.
