I have 14 in my backyard and I like them. Just wondering

Not sure, the one in our yard is over twenty years old. I would like to cut it down because it is growing at the edge of our front bank. Whoever lived here before us planted it in an unconvinent spot. Now it's gotten too big and it has tiny little black insects in the summer that even spray doesn't kill.

Hackberry is a relatively short-lived tree. I would say, on average, about 20 years. The Hackberry is subject to many diseases that usually kill the tree.
