Hubby and I have been married for just over 5 years now and have a toddler son. I am 28 and he is 41 and he has a huge sex drive, he would like it every night and possibly twice a day. I was always told the men in their 40's start to lose the drive but he hasn't at all. My drive is low considering the toddler, my diabetes and just being a little over stressed. If you in your 40's and male what is your situation and sex drive without any meds (viagra, enzyte, etc). Was the sex drive drop for men in their 40's just a joke?

Sex drives vary greatly from one person to the next. Your guy represents one extreme, but there are plenty of men who are perfectly fine with sex once a week or less.

I'm currently 40, and I've never needed any meds. My drive has lowered, in the sense that it doesn't bother me at all to go without sex for a couple weeks (if I'm traveling or something). However, I'm still willing and able to perform every day, as much and as often as she wants it. :-)

all men are different ... too many factors can affect sex drive ... i'm 57 and use no medicinal aides , i have slowed down a bit, but i can still manage 2 or 3 times a day without getting a coronary ... on average , when i'm in a relationship, it is twice a night ... i have known some guys that quit at mid 30's and others that are in the late 60's and putting some 20 yr olds to shame ... so, most of us are washed up in our 80's ....

I am 44. My 28 year old girl friend gets a run for her money. She told me when we started having sex that she had always believed that myth about men. Now she knows better. Mine has stayed the same from the time i was 12 till now. 4 to 6 times a week is about normal for me. No meds

once a night up to three days a week is a ideal situation, strong drive and twice a day means there is some fault in system, i am above 40 i never find her fit to coup with 2nd in same night therefore i manage it once a night on alternate day and likes it.

man in his 55 can his drive high, but depends on the nature and early activities of that man.

strong man should manage a long play and let her have good sleep till morning, if she still desires a one, means man not strong or still need to learn the fun.

I am 40 and I would run about the same rate as your husband. For me though this is a significant drop from my younger years.
No medication at all...

Perhaps that is true for your husband as well.

I hope to be like Abraham.

God Bless,

I am 46 and, if anything, my sex drive is stronger than it was in my teens.
