As someone with an ENglish accent, living in Arizona, I wish I could ditch mine.
It's nice when people ask "oh, you got a great accent. Where are you from". But not as nice when it's down the supermarket when I've got a major hangover & I've just called in for a couple of essentials.
I've lived in the same house in the same community for coming up on 10 year. I've been a US citizen since 2004. My home town is Phoenix - a rapidly growing metropolis & I've probably been in the city longer than 40% of the population, but the accent still makes people see me as a visitor.

I have a slight Spanish accent, 'cos although I'm English too, I have lived here in Spain most of my life. My son was born here and he speaks with a very Spanish accent, which is cute on him, but I don't think it's the nicest accent to have when you are older... lol! Think Manuel in Fawlty Towers!!!
I reckon French accents are the sexiest, they are so sing-song and yummy...! Yep, French it has to be!

English accents are awesome, but then again i guess thats not really an accent just english spoken properly

I am australian and I tend to lean towards the scots myself
I think way back I was born in Scotland hahah and must have had a good time too

i hate accents they get on my nerves .....there fun to make fun of though, like a spanish accent, jamaican, english, canadian,or southern accents
