Depends.. Pleasure Island has a lot of clubs, but a lot of younger crowds (like under 21) hang out there. If you do go there, go to Raglan Road (awesome music and great food!!)
City Walk at Universal is great for the older crowd. Have lots of really cool bars and lots more room (there's some construction going on at Downtown Disney for new restaurants they're building). City Walk is free, but you do have to pay to get into the clubs after a certain time. You ticket to the parks does not give you admission to the clubs. (You can pay to get into one club or all the clubs, just like at Pleasure Island.)
I would also suggest I-Drive... there's O'Shucks, Cafe TuTu Tango, Cricketers Arms**, and a million more places, plus you can walk rather than drive (or take a cab). There's always something going on, very late, on I-Drive.
Even 192 has a lot of bars, but I would choose that as a last resort. (Old Town in Kissimmeee is really cool, lots of bars to choose from.)
Hope this helps!

Others have already suggested Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island and Universal Resort -- I prefer the Universal Resort area of the two. Royal Pacific hotel is walking distance to several nightclubs and restaurants on property. Latin Quarter is supposed to be a fun club for dancing.... but haven't been there.
If you want to shy away from the bigger, touristy areas you could stay downtown Orlando - or maybe just go down there on a friday or saturday night. There are some good restaurants and bars and clubs. (depending on your taste). Most everything is centered around Orange Ave. downtown. The Grand Bohemian is a nice (very nice) hotel downtown.
Have fun :)

If you would prefer to stay closer to the Disney attractions, I recommend staying at any of the hotels located near Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island. If you would like a Disney Resort, I recommend the Saratoga Springs Resort and Day Spa. It is located right across the lake from Downtown Disney and you'll be minutes from club dancing, bars, amazing food and terrific entertainment (go see Circ De Solie La Nuba!).
The Plaza Hotel is also a nice choice. It is not a Disney hotel, but it is located right across the street from Downtown Disney.
If you'd rather be close to Universal, then you'll want to do a search for hotels near International Drive. Universal's City Walk has tons of great bars and restaurants. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville is lots of fun!

Me too. Nov 7th 2006.
Have been twice already and so far, for food and drinks best place yourself near international drive or close to Universal Studios.
If you have tickets for universal, you will find they have a string of bars, resturants, cinema in a place called city walk which entrance is usually free for ticket holders.
Can also try Downtown Disney as this has bars, and a club within pleasure island
Enjoy your holiday!!

Depends on where you stay, WDW has Pleasure Island and it is really nice but kinda of limited.
Universal has more for adults young and older, than WDW.
Hey, I love both places really because I think you would be hard pressed not to find something you like.

If you locate yourself near International Drive, its very lively around there. You can stay in some lovely apartments too that are quiet, but also very near to all the activity. BA brochure has lots of nice places dependng on your budget.
