I don't have a choice about getting up early cuz I have two little girls who wake up at the crack of dawn. But since I am up anyway, we go out on the deck and watch the sun rise often. There is a lake outside and we see the geese on the lake and the fog rising off of the lake. It is beautifull and we enjoy it together. We eat our breakfast out on the deck many mornings. It is a special time of day!

I've only done that a couple of times while on holiday. Otherwise I only see the sun rising if it's an early flight I need to catch!

well even if i wanted to - my house is like in the middle of other houses and there are huge trees and durawalls all over so by the time u can actually 'see the sun' it has like 'risen' already so there aint anything spectacular about it..
i do however remember driving home after the New Year's Eve party and seeing it just come up over the horizon.. twas lekker... it was a great way to start the year...

Yip, done it many times. Live close to the mountains and have a classic sports car. Will get up early over a weekend, drive to a favorite spot and watch the sunrise with my luv....quality time....special moments...... then find a open restaurant for a nice breakfast, its a nice kickoff to a beautiful day....

I have to get up early (5:30) every day to get ready for work and get my kids ready to go by 6:30. The sunrise is a moment of peace in an otherwise hectic day.

Never, but once I did when I stayed up all night and was outside in the backyard painting my patio deck. It was really nice, just seeing the stars, and then the little birds began to chirp, and the sun came up, and the whole world just woke up and started singing. I am a night person, and sleep in. When I had to get up, I did not stay up as late, but always a late to bed person.

Sweet Luveniar, I woke with the sunrise this morning and was so disappointed to wake alone. My love is far away again, for the time being, but I know I will watch so many dawns with him that I am on the brink of joyful tears each second of the day...
