Keep going! It takes time and persistence. The gain weight may do with your muscles getting stronger.

The weight gain is due to you improving your muscle tone from exercise. Fat weighs less than muscles which does seem strange.
However, provided you are eating a sensible balanced diet and smaller portions to previously then in time you'll notice a difference.

Keep at it and hopefully you'll notice a loss of weight soon. However, if this doesn't happen review just what sort of foods you're eating and the portion sizes.

Never get disheartened although easier said than done. Provided your body shape/size is changing then it's working.

Since you exercise 4 times a week, see to it that you religiously execute it. Then no to carbonated drinks, pastries and cakes, chocolates and ice cream. Just eat fruits and vegetables. Try it because as of today, in 3 months, I lose weight from 75 kilos to 61 kilos already.

I think the answer could be found in the GI level of your food you take and the metabolic rate of your body. It takes time for the metabolic rate to adjust. But if you are putting on weight then you have to review your programme. Talk over it with a consultant. A fitness consultant or a Physical trainer. And check out this link
http://www.geocities.com/lcming/diet check out Dr Shari Lierman's book, in it she explains the GI index, metabolic rate.......

Don't worry, you are not alone. But seriously speaking, the more you thought of decreasing weight, the more you hate it that is why more often that not we are likely to increase weight. What you have to do is enjoy your effort to loose weight so that it becomes your habit. Happy slimming...

You've probably gained muscle, and that weighs more. As long as you're getting leaner and your clothing size is reducing then you can stop worrying.

you are building muscle which weighs more than fat. The more muscle you can build the more fat you can burn. Also it could be water retention.
