i've booked a holiday to Morocco for new year, and ever since people have been telling me how scary it is over there because they are strict muslims. Can any one that has been there give me some feedback and let me know if they enjoyed their hols or not? I'm going to Agadir.

Morocco is lovely! We went last year, and had no problems with being Westerners. I haven't been to Agadir, but I've heard that it is a lot more tourist-friendly than the rest of Morocco. In Marrakesh and Essaouira, where we went, ordering one or two glasses of wine with dinner wasn't a problem at all.

On the contrary! Morocco is one of the most liberal muslim countries out there. It has a flourishing tourist industry and you really will like it in Agadir. The beach is very long and wide and there's plenty of things to do. Alcohol is sold and women can bathe topless. No worries!

been there twice and plan on going again------I love it!
whoever told you such bad things must not have gone there before. everyone there is awesome. the scenery is great,food is delicious. night life is great too! nothing to be scared of there. the people are Muslim,but not so strict as other Muslim countries. you will find people from all over the world there.

go to agadir if u want to go to the beach, it's the warmest place in that period.

oh my god!! one of the best places on earth! i just love it!! pepole r very nice and friendly.. shopping is amazing but a little expensive. u should go to marrakesh enjoy the night life its amazing. go to casablanca the beaches r gr8 there and they also have some nice pubs... hmm and u should visit al rabat its very relaxing and very nice. enjoy!
