Someone asked if monogamy was natural and everyone who answered agreed it wasn't. Yet, people are shocked by my questions about my wife having a boyfriend. Why is that?

I believe if you are in love monogamy is very natural. I believe that is one of the differences between animals and humans. Even some animals only choose one partner. Best of luck with your wife. You hopefully one day might believe enough in yourself to realize you are a worthwhile and worthy person entitled to fidelity.

People are not used to polyamory in any form and for a woman to have more than one partner is especially shocking. Natural does not mean accepted. Using deodorant is unnatural but it is preferred over going natural, at least in this country. It is expected that people will have urges for sex outside of marriage as a natural occurrence but that we restrict ourselves to our monogamous relationship.

Monogamy is natural in both man and beast.
Through monogamy, friendship and trust develops.
Without monogamy, you have chaos and widespread diseases.

Monogamy is a choice. U choose to be faithful to the one u gave your vows to because u love them and have a moral obligation to them. The rest are just excuses.

biologically men were created to spread their genes, women to nuture or raise one or aset of children at a time. look at the animal kingdom, the maklles always have more than one, while most females have one male
