It could be psychological; u know that u're not looking (or smelling) ur best, and neither is she. Or perhaps she removes her makeup before she retires to bed, so she looks like a younger, prettier version of herself.

I don't - I usually have black panda eyes from the make up and black eye boggies - dog breath and manky hair. You must have one special lady - else she gets up before you without waking you and makes herself beautiful again..........

My boyfriend tells me the same! I can't see it myself, I reckon I look as rough as anything! Maybe you like that she looks so peaceful and content. Or maybe you just really like her.
