Just to help on your question...

After spending some 18 years researching 'half-truths', lies must also include truths that are not the whole truth that deceive.

Example:

A truth: I am going to work.
The Truth: I am going to work to meet with my other girlfriend.

Truth is relative to time...one of the new definitions of half-truth.

Getting back to the question.

I lied only once today..., err, add one more to that number, whatever it really is.
