A friend of mine is an airline pilot. He was late boarding the aircraft, so he ran up the stairs and caught his foot on the top step, landing in a heap on the cabin floor with a hundred or so passengers looking on. Now that is embarrassing.

Last summer in a busy high street, just fell aot and the whole street seemed to run over to me! Got up and strolled off saying I was ok , but then had to walk a good distance until sure everyone gone that saw me fall, before I could check myself over!
No couldn`t blame the ground, as was crossing a road and when I stepped onto the kerb my flip flop came up over the top. and it was that and not the ground! Extra embarrassment of having cars stop as well. LOL!

Quite a time ago now but it was in a departure lounge at a ferry terminal with about 200 people watching. Have you noticed you never seem to do it when no ones around. And you're right I blamed the non existant loose floor tile and I felt a right pillock.

It makes me laugh when I do it, so I usually try and catch someones eye and share the joke! What makes me laugh even harder is when they look down at the floor like they're embarrassed to make eye contact with someone who could be so stupid as to trip in public!

LMAO.... hahahahah well it was on the 28th of Aug - i remember coz i was holding my brother's birthday cake.. so i got to a traffic light and just as the cars were being stopped and the lil green man telling me i can go i slipped on the sloped curb and fell flat on my bum... i dunno how i managed to quickly get up. dust off my skirt look up and see the green man still ther, and calmly cross the street - still holding the cake in my left hand....
omgsh... i had mixed emotions as i crossed the street - i wanted to laugh and cry at the same time - i didnt even look at the cars that were at the intersection and i maintained a straight face as i crossed the road... hahhahahah it was soooo funny i tell yah... and when i then met my other brother and told him the story - boy did he pack out laughing... i bet you if i had been with somebody else at that time i would have cried with embarassment not pain.. hehhehehehe

About 3 months ago, in the middle of the high street. So embarrassing. It's even worse when people rush over to see if you're ok - drawing even more attention to you.

I caught the heel of my shoe in the drain as I was crossing the road, to make matters worse, just down from where i was stood was a bus full of people..
Although very red I just raised both arms as if to say ''oh well'' lol

I am glad it was not just me who tripped up this week!! I was rushing to work on Monday and went over sideways on my ankle, I dropped my breakfast on the floor but managed to stay up-right by wind-milling my arms so I kind of just sprawled. I wanted to cry.

if i trip i always blame my shoes, but my worst was waving goodbye to my friend in the high street, i turned round and smacked straight into a bus stop, which was full of people who laughed. the only thing i could think to say was " i f***king hate public transport. not my best comeback i'll admit.
