There are several interesting observations to make:
The grass court balls did not behave like the balls on the slower courts like clay, where Nadal rules.
And why would the grass court behave differently for Nadal? Unlike the slower courts, the grass surface allows the balls to skid. There is less friction and interaction between the ball and the grass court.
So adjusting from clay court season to lawn court in wimbledon is so short for Nadal. Maybe if the ATP officials would give longer tune up games in grass courts before Wimbledon, then maybe Nadal would have a chance to beat... who else, Federer express.

Nadal may one day win on grass, but there are some things that have to be overcome.
(1) Federer, who is one of the greatest grass court players.
(2) The low, skidding balls on grass are not very conducive to his long strokes and his extreme western forehand.
(3) He needs to be able to flatten out his groundstrokes more, especially his forehand so they penetrate into the court more.
(4) His serve needs to be improved, which he did do some at this year's Wimbledon.

Nadal was in the Wimbledon finals this year. Hence, only Roger Federer prevents a win on grass.

Federer is the one who stands between Nadal and the grass courts titles, it's pretty hard to win those titles when the king of the grass is present. From the other side it's hard for federer to win the clay titles when the king of the clay is present. see?

The kind of play Nadal loves is not usually suited to Grass. On grass, it is serve and volley. Baseliners have usually struggled on Grass, like Nadal.
But I still rate Nadal to be future champion at Grass too. With the passage of time, he would revamp his game to be the best at Grass

Nadal is not used to play on grass that's why he can't win. He has not played much game on grass either.

The grass court balls did not behave like the balls on the slower courts like clay, where Nadal rules
and his footwork is not suitable for graas and he made a lots of wrong foots.
and he put a lot of spin on the balls that that is not efficent in graas.

You all know nothin about tennis... the reason is that he uses a western forehand which works great on clay but not on grass
