I haven't been happy in the haze of a drunken hour for a while but I'm not miserable now.
You are of course referring to the classic 80's song Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now by the Smiths. It reached #10 on the UK Singles Chart in June of 1984 before its inclusion on the compilation album, Hatful of Hollow. The song's title was inspired by Sandie Shaw's "Heaven Knows I'm Missing Him Now". It is listed as one of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. The cover features Viv Nicholson who became famous in 1961 in the UK for winning a large amount of money on the Football Pools.
The single was the subject of some controversy upon its release due to its B-side, "Suffer Little Children".

Ah.... that's one of my favourite songs!
Was in a very good mood last night, despite splitting from my fella a couple of days ago. Went to a pub quiz and then on to a club with my flatmate, chips on the way home. Now back at work, a little bit the worse for wear. Still probably a bit too pissed to be miserable - it's gonna hit me soon I'm sure.

At about 2 o'clock on Saturday morning, singing along to the Stone Roses at the top of my voice.
Not too miserable now, because I know that it's hump day, so therefore nearly the weekend again!! Yay!!!

I don't drink anymore coz the last time I did I nearly got arrested along with my boyfriend, we are both nasty drunks and had to stop drinking because it just was not safe. Now our relationship has blossomed. I last had a drink over a year ago

well i dont take alcohol sori... but last friday i was out with my girls and they were all drinking and we were all happy and having a gas... its funny how me that doesnt drink always ends up looking and sounding like the one who's drunk most... ah yah.. guess i could get high on water - given the right settings and all.. heheheheh
