1. I think the number of elements should be 4. [ hydrogen(H), nitrogen (N), sulphur (S), oxygen (0)]
2. the number of compounds in the equation are 3 [NH3- ammonia H2SO4- sulphuric acid and (NH4)2SO4 - ammonium sulphate].
Similarly, chlorine is Cl, Cadmium is Cd, sodium is Na, calcium is Ca, Iron is Fe and there are some 108 more elements. You can learn about them in detail from the periodic tabe.

I'm not a chemist but I'll have a guess at this. N is nitrogen, right? and H is Hydrogen? Let's say S is Sulphur, O is Oxygen. I think that's the elements. And NH3, isn't that Ammonia? And I think H2SO4 is Sulphuric Acid. So the last bit is probably Ammonium Sulphate. Have I got it right, do you think? Better check.

1.4, They are Nitrogen(N), Hydrogen(H), Sulphur(S) and Oxygen(O).
2.3, Ammonia(NH3), Sulphuric Acid(H2SO4) -->They are the reactants.
Ammonium Sulphate{(NH4)2SO4} is the product. The reaction is already balanced.

Well.................it was quite pretty easy, come to think of it. Hope it helps!!
