I want to travel for work in the Mediterranean for a year or so. any suggestions?

I have traveled extensively through the mediterranean countries (Spain, France, Italy Greece, Turkey, Egypt) and I have a real passion for the places, people, food etc... I have held jobs in spain that paid under the table, but I would like to find something such as a tourguide that is a bit more legitamite. I have no college degree, but tons of experience traveling the world.anyone done this before??? please help ;)

There are legitimate jobs...try googling 'work abroad'. I did it for my daughter and she had the opportunity to work in various countries. You could always be a holiday rep...try the travel companies.

In many places you can get a job as diving instructor or waiter, but these are usually seasonall and mostly paid under the table. If you want to work as tour guide, you will have to deal with headquarters of the travel agency, they vary rarely employ people "on the spot". Good bet are British travel agencies - usually they send you to be a guide in one place for six months, but that varies depending on location and agency. Another option is if you want to work in time-share (vacation clubs) they are always looking for sales people, usually provide accommodation, you get travel discounts but the jobs are mostly only commission base. Another option is cruise boats which go to Mediterranean. Try European ones (check Crystal cruises, they are Norwegian) first, because they pay and treat their stuff much better than American counterparts.

If you are fluent in at least 3 languages... Costa del sol in Spain. Legitamite jobs enough.

Just go and look. If you actually spend time looking while your out there instead of smoking, drinking, and f**king, you could probably get a job. Just a thought.
