wait til you reach 31, you are then closer to 40 than 20.
I am 32 and well on the way to old age senility and death.

Just go with the flow. It's only a number next year I turn 40 and to be honest I haven't given it a thought. One or two people have tried to wind me up about but i just ignore them. I do as much now as when I was 16 if not more. The only time I do feel slightly old is down at the front of gigs, sometimes you can't move for acne faced 14 year olds, but some of them give you a fair bit of respect so it's not all bad.

It was fantastic! Had a lovely big party got loads of beautiful gifts and love every day I'm alive. Age is only a number and when you start feeling old that's when you become old. 18 til the day I die that's my motto and always will be. I turn 40 in a few years and can't wait. Remember you are a long time dead so embrace your life and age and just have a great time. It does work people always tell me they think I'm 10 years younger than what I actually am. Have a great birthday and remember have fun. I'll raise a toast to you - happy birthday!

How bad did it feel? Let me explain to you that I am very lucky to see the age of 30. Living on the edge does have it's disadvantages.
I was in Vegas on my 30th birthday. While feeling a Little sorry for myself for hitting the 3 0 mark I received a call from a close friend. His sister (early 20s) was killed in a car wreck that day. Leaving behind 2 babies.
Sure made me appreciate life and felt like an *** for feeling woe is me for aging a year.
Boom reality!

I spent my 30th in the wilds of Norway, glacier hiking, kayaking and the like, trying desperately to pretend it wasn't happening. I spent the year telling everyone I was twentyten. Then I turned thirty one and realised I'd spent so much time avoiding the fact I'd turned thirty that I hadn't seen thirty one coming. Nobody believes I'm this old, anyway and I don't intend to grow up anytime soon. These days, with people living longer, working longer and generally doing more stuff, thirty is considered to be young. You're still younger than David Beckham...

I can't wait until I turn 30! Maybe I'll feel differently when it actually comes to that time...
But seriously, why would it make any difference at all. You're still only a day older than you were on the last day you were 29. I really don't see the big deal with birthdays.

It was not to bad I still dread saying the word. But 27 was the hardest, I could no longer truthfully say I was in my early or mid twenties. Twenty was had because I was no longer considered a teen. But 27 was the worst. Not looking forward to 31

You too? I just turned 29 in June. The thing that keeps coming back to haunt me is....less than a year and my twenties will be OVER forever!!!!! That is just too much.
But I'm not dreading that, so much as I will dread turning *gulp* fifty. I mean, can you imagine your forties being over? What is there still left to live for at that point?

For me it wasn't bad, 30 somethings are still included in the world, just watch TV ads, however 40 is another matter. Luckily for me I was just surprised and grateful to reach my 30's. Plus you get a lot more respect and the youths leave you alone, check stats on the age people are mugged, they are usually around the same age as the muggers. (not all cases granted) Plus I always add an extra year on (in my head) to prepare me for the shock.

It wasn't quite that bad. It happened so fast that i hardly had time to think about it. For sure though, it made me realize how quick time flies and how short life is. It started me to change my thinking and I began to take one day at a time with a new set of goals.
I also began to be thankful for having had a safe life in my past. Some of my friends had not been so fortunate. I no longer take life for granted, have become more tolerant and each day strive to make myself a better person.
