I've lived through eleven Presidents, some great and some not so great, but they all were somehow made better by the office. George W. Bush is number twelve. After watching him at the U.N. today, I see that he has become petulant and a much more polished liar than ever before. He has, so far, managed to avoid the enoblement process that transforms most men that hold the office. Guess you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

I personally don't like Bush or his policies. He certainly can't be called a good president.

However it's hard to say whether or not he is the worst since I have no knowledge of any president before the 20th century and even then there has been some stiff competion. Nixon, Regan etc.

However he did go to war in Iraq on the basis of a lie which makes him pretty bad in my book.

I'm sure the love ones of the USA and UK forces that has fallen in both Afghanistan and Iraq would give you the answer. considering bin laden is still free and being the reason for bush to declare 'WAR ON TERRORISM' why did he not focus on bringing bin laden to justice instead of starting a war on Iraq which had no establish link with the 9/11 attack. nothing is making sense at the moment so until bush's motives come to light i can't give you a honest answer.

other presidents
1/ nixon i.e. Vietnam, watergate phone tapping
2/ reagan i.e. supplying arms to Iran in the exchange of American hostages while supporting Iraq

ABSOLUTELY! He and his cronies have divided this country with their political maneuverings unlike ANY previous administration, EVER!
He basically ignored the initial reports of attacks on 9/11, he failed to respond to this countrys' worst natural disaster, ever - and, he continues to disavow and disregard, the Constitution of the United States of America!
Addendum: Watch CSpan 1&2, CNN, and MNBC - you'll get better information than regular television news.

I think George W probably is the worst ever US President, despite the stiff competition from the likes of Nixon and Reagan. I suppose being even more stupid than Reagan and a bigger liar than Nixon is some sort of achievement.

I would say Ronald Reagan was on par with Bush. Another dim wit with money in power.

He's not just the worst US president, but the WORST president of the world of all time.

Let's see; There's Buchanan who presided over the era leading up to succession, Jackson who instigated the genocide from the Trail of Tears, Nixon who was kicked out for paranoia and lawbreaking, Reagan who gave weapons to terrorists to fund other terrorists in Central America, Grant and Harding who presided over corrupt administrations or pResident Bush who plunged us into a totally unnecessary war and lied to the American public. I am thinking the prize goes to Bush.

Well of course he is but he managed to convince the American Public differently.Mind you the modern American has a sheep mentality and easy to win over.

A myriad of other administrations are regarded as failures, with Lyndon Johnson and Jimmy Carter being the most recent examples.

But for sheer incompetence, outright deception, and unconscionable attacks on the Constitution of the United States, the administration of Bush II is by far the worst.

The man himself is shameless, stupid and not deserving of the Presidency.

In a word: yes.
