Oh I thought you were offering a place to stay rent free. Oh man!!!!!

Just keep your place and visit him from time to time. Maybe spend a weekend with him when you trust him and when you ready let go of your apartment and move in with him. Don't rush into something you aren't comfortable doing.

well since you are going to share the apartment with him, you may have to share the bills with him too. since u don't have to pay rent, at least chip in by paying the utilities bill.

As long as you would be able financially to leave any time you wanted, I would do it. But if it were a situation where it would take time for me to save up to be able to move I wouldn't do it.

The real question is? Do you actually want to live with him or just use him for cheap rent?

I would not go without a ring on my finger or some kind of commitment. You have too much to lose.
