Yes. They will say anything you want to hear to persuade you to buy the car. Used car salesmen are even worse than new car salesmen. The only profession people mistrust more is lawyers, according to polls.

they will tell you almost anything to get you to purchase a car, they have limits with in the law, but they can be smoothing over the truth alot to get their commission. car sales people only get paid when they sale a car....no hourly wage, so they could be on the car lot for 10 to 12 hours and not make a dime, so they see you coming they will do what they have to do to get their money....
