This has to be undeniable proof, not biased opinions with no leg to stand on.
I haven't seen proof of this yet. If no one can actually prove this without a doubt, then it's a fallacy that people find comfort in believing. The only proof I've seen is that men and woman are both equally mature and immature depending on the individual and circumstances. I can't think otherwise without actual, unarguable proof. I'd be lying to myself if I just believed what people say, over what I've actually experienced.
And I don't mean who has the most knowledge on, say, like women have on babies and most men have on cars. Knowledge and maturity are two different things. I'm talking about people with highly developed minds and thoughts, and know how to logically handle most life's situations in a mature manner.
Bring on the proof.

teeniey37 - Proof without a doubt that women have more complex way of thinking. Define complex. I think complexity is relative.

mumluvshe... - Your welcome. And I asked this question because many women out their actually believe they are more mature than men. You'd be amazed at how many are very sexist because of it. There's even women in the business world who are this way. This that has become common knowledge as a truth when it's false.
I ask this question to prove a point by seeing if anyone can actually prove this for a fact. If they can't, then I see their ignorance very clearly. It's one thing "feel" that someone is ignorant, and another to actually know it absolutly. This makes me see their ignorance absolutly.
It's usually the hot topic questions that causes fights, but it causes fights because people are fustrated with lies, hypocracy, fallacies, some are stuck on false beliefs and don't want to open their minds, it's the majorities way of thinking. My goal is to end all that and squeeze out the truth for myself and for other people to see and learn from.

mumluvshe... - Yeah, I know what you mean, I've been through the creation vs evolution debate before as well and have gotten fustrated. I completely agree that people are going to believe what ever they want, it doesn't matter what proof you bring, which is why when I do these debates, I'm not trying to change anyones minds anymore. I'm only finding the real truths myself by asking these questions so the lie's are revealed. Remove the lies, and truth is left in the clear.
Anyone else who see the lies as well, thats cool, but I gave up trying to prove things to people a long time ago.
You sound like a cool person with a good head on your shoulders, nice conversating with you......good times.

Firstly, thank you for choosing my answer as best. Your question sounded so sad. .
Girls mature physically faster than boys during the teenage years. The proof is in the schools. My husband is smarter than me when it comes to building a deck, yet I'm better at baking a cake. I'm great scholastically where my husband is terrific working with his hand and figuring out measurments. I think a women who has it in her mind to put down a man hasn't found the right one. And/or is struggling with her own problems. Unfortunetly it is the loud ones that seem to give all women a bad day. For those ones I just feel sorry. All women have there own ghosts in the closets. I don't know one that hasn't been hurt by one. What you are asking is almost ludicrous. There is absolutely no proof and no notion. Maturity has to do with life situations AND knowledge. You cannot ask one without the other. Knowledge comes from life situations. Maturity comes from handling life situations approprietly from the knowledge you have attained from your life experiences. I agree with one of the other statements from your last question. there are far too many female liberalist in America. I can see that and I'm in Canada. I find if you want to stir up hateful answers just ask a question on Yahoo! answers. I think you are making more of a point than asking a question. That is usually how I ask and then I get bombarded with rude comments. Good luck to you! I hope you find what you are looking for. I think a question like this will is only asking for a fight. I hope you are not looking for a fight. Have a great day!
I just read your response: You know, I tried the same thing with evolution vs. creation. I'm not getting into it again. People are going to believe what they are going to believe. People are always going to have an excuse to believe things are a certain way to help them feel better about something or them selves. So they can continue on their path without feeling guilty. You have taken on something that will only frustrate you. Although your intentions are good. I guarantee most people do not want to hear they are believing something that is incorrect. Plus then they don't have an excuse to be ignorant and immature.
Thank you, you too! It's nice to see there are people out there that are good. It's frustrating to see so many people full of rage on this Yahoo! Answers. Sorta makes one feel alone. Definetly good times conversing with you!

I agree with you in the aspect that it all depends on the person you are dealing with. I've met women who act like they are 2 and men that act the same way. The only thing that has been really proven, is the thought pattern in each gender. (Most) women have a more complex way of thinking, while (most) men are more simple. We use different areas of the brain to react to the same situation. Doesn't make either gender more or less mature than the other. although (some) women like to think they are more mature because they are more complicated, but their ignorance shows how immature they really are.
To answer you additional post: The complexity of women's thoughts have a lot to do with why men are seen as "immature". Women tend to believe that, because men don't always think the way they do, that they are immature. (a lot, not all) women tend to make more of a situation than is really there. They "read to much into" what a guy says or does. For example: A guy could simply forget to give his girlfriend a kiss goodbye, etc.. and the girl gets mad because she thinks that he is mad at her, or that "he doesn't care" Then she thinks he is immature for not understanding why she was upset. When in all actuality, it was nothing to get upset over. He thinks it was a simple little mistake that just meant he forget to do something, while she thinks it means he doesn't care about her anymore. She made things more complicated than they really were, and yet he'll be called immature for not understanding her way of thinking.
(I can try to find the studies to back this up, but we learned about this kind of stuff in one of my classes)

youre looking for rock solid proof in a bias? my friend, even saying men are larger than women is a bias thats generally accepted as truth (extreme example) that we all believe because generally it is so. But it would be extremely easy to disprove that obvious notion if we tried to.
Such things are for intuitional opinion and the like only. Why bother your own little dome with such nonsense?
You want to know how people logically handle most lifes situations in a mature manner? That is a seperate question altogether. I would say those experienced or those with a mind that can correlate to similar experiences they have had before cope well, deal, and direct well. Thus is the case that negative experiences can be a blessing like no other if survived. That is not gender related, sorry my answer is only maturity related. and would have trouble affixing a gender to wisdom.

sincerely i have concern about the vote or the point but the question does amuse me as you did written that knowledge and maturity is two of a different things, as my question will be if a person doesn't goes through a time of experience, how are they going gain the knowledge they needed to proceed and mature.
but mentally mature is another aspect that have no concern with age, religions, and most of all genders, as one who have the knowledge to relieve themselves of their prejudice and hatred within their mind and open a consciousness within their thoughts to learn and understand of other.
but the concern about women been more "mentally" mature than men is indeed amusing, where i might consider most of my sisters to be quite "unreasonable" mature.
and my words is quite simple as its not about the how old is the person, or what religions is he or she is from, and the gender of the person that make the person more "mentally" mature than other the consciousness in their mind and thought.
as for the proof is always around the corner; if you have a sister of your own, just wait and see if they would throw you with a girl tantrum and then think again about the "reason" maturity.

You're right, there is no proof. Everyone is different, meaning that there are equal numbers of mature and immature men and women. One day a given number of women might make more mature decisions than a given number of men, but the next day that could easily be reversed. Of course, I have no proof of this. Perhaps I'm being immature.

I agree with you.
Maturity does not depend on your gender, and note this down: it does not depend on your age either. You can be a mature six-year old, while a seventy-year old can act like a child. It really depends on the person and how they think, how they were brought up and how they react to a particular situation.
