I have very not normal periods, im off and on birthcontrol for a cist i have on my ovary and just started up about a week ago for it, yet i havent had my period for almost a month, i'm not sure how long it has been actually, im PRETTY sure its over 4 weeks possibly 4 1/2 wks since my last one, i took two hpt from ept and both were neg but my cousin who is pregnate at the moment told me she took the ept test and it said she wasnt, then took a digital hpt and said she was. It is possible that i am, but im pretty sure i was safe during intercourse. Any helpful suggestions on this? i know i need to go to the doctors for a blood test but i wanted to wait a little longer because i have to come up with the money first for it, i cant sleep because of this and its very irritating for me, i dont have morning sickness im not craving anything which i doubt this early if i were pregnate anyways. Thanks in advance for replys back!

If you have had irregular periods in the past, it's most likely you are not pregnant. Usually when you get on and off birth control you're hormones tend to be a little crazy so don't worry just take care of yourself and go check with the doctor to make sure you are not pregnant.

More than likely you aren't pregnant; hpt's usually give false positive results vs. negative. Your cycle is supposed to be 28 days, it sounds like you might or might not have exceeded that. My wife says she has regular periods, but in 26 years I have witnessed gaps from 2 weeks to several months (when she was training for the marathon.) The only way for you to know for sure is to go to the doctor. There are free clinics all over the place if you can't afford a regular doctor. You should go just to protect your health and make decisions about things like cigarettes, alcohol, life style changes, etc.

What is being pretty sure you were safe mean? Either you were or you weren't. Either he was wearing a condom or wasn't, either you were on birth control or you weren't. If he wasn't wearing a condom you stand a chance of being pregnant since birth control pills are not 100% effective. I'm proof of that since my daughter is a "birth control baby". Even if he "pulled out" there is pre ejaculation that carries sperm and all it takes is one. Do not rely on those over the counter home pregnancy tests because they sit on store shelves for months until they are worthless...again expierence, my ex's sister in law suspected she was pregnant. The home pregnancy test she purchased came with two...as a lark I took the second test. Her test was negative, mine came up positive, only problem with that was that a year prior to taking the test I had a total hysterectomy...no uterus, no ovaries, no tubes no cervix...and it still came up positive. That just shows you how reliable they can be. If you want to know for certain GO TO THE DOCTOR.

Wondering if you have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome? If so the missed period is the norm for the condition. If you took two tests and both were neg, then the chances are in your favor that you are not pg. Obviously check with your dr, but sounds like you are ok. Also, keep in mind the periods do take time to become regular again once you have gone off bc.

I have skipped a month or 2 a few times in my life just from stress so thats a possibility. You mentioned saving the money for a blood test... couldn't you go to a place like planned parenthood- I think they might test there.... and if you have the money get a digital test and try it... I have used those 3 times and they were all accurate.

It took two weeks after my period was due for it to show positive on a pregnancy test and I also didn't have any symptoms. You can get pregnant with your boyfriend withdrawing so you may be. Lots of things can cause late periods, anxiety being one of them. Also if your periods aren't regular, I would give it another couple of weeks to see if you are.
