♥Seriously, a few hours ago I came in from outside and when my wet shoe hit the linoleum, I slipped, whacking my arm on the bottom stair, my hip on the floor, flaring up the old injury in my left ankle, and lost a contact lens in the process. Klutzy Faerie, that's me!♫

Ugh! That sounds almost exactly like the way I fell a couple years ago except it was my right ankle. You do nothing and wait for your hubby to come pick you up and put you in a comfortable chair and cater to your every need (wink). I know I couldn't walk on my ankle when I fell that hard! And my ankle has never been the same! Didn't lose a contact lens, though!
Are you sure you didn't break a bone or one of the stairs having fallen that hard?

a cold beer (applied internally) should help with the pain and swelling. and then just stay off the ankle for a while. sitting in front of the computer on YA is just the thing! ;-)

i am also a klutz.....last week i fell off the john deere....all my body weight landed on my arm...which has been broke before.....but it didn't break this time (thank God)
i didn't wanna get up either!!!
