We've all watched Batman, Superman, Spiderman, X-Men, Ninja Hero Turtles.
Oh - and Rawhide and Starski and Hutch and Dukes of Hazard
Also Arnold Schwarznegger and Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone and Steven Segal and so forth....
We've been shown heros fighting with bad guys, and they fight with super powers, guns, jets, missiles, fists, martial arts etc.
We also have sports heros.
What is this all for?
Is it to train our boys to be heros?

Movie industry is not called dream factory for nothing.

Role model, when not imitated as wholesale, is necessary for aspiration and creativity

To me, it is the violence associated with heroes that is really damaging.

Our boys are taught bravery = revenge + fist. Their views are distorted.
