My friends are debating whether whose car will win a race. My friend has a 2004 Lancer LS and my other one has a 2001 Toyota Corolla LE. What is your opinion?

Lancer hands down unless the Toyota has any modifications. (Assuming that both cars are manual and the drivers shift at the same rate without missing any gears.) If the cars are both automatic and the drivers both put the 'pedal to the metal' the Lancer would definitely win. The only way the Toyota would win is if it were a manual and the Lancer were automatic, or if the toyota were auto or manual, and the Lancer's driver missed a gear or over eved and blew a piston.
Bottom line: Lancer 98% of the time.

it depends on the drivers and what kind of race but the lancer ls is a 120 hp and the corolla le is a 125 hp. i think the corolla does 15.5 in the 1/4 and the lancer does like 17. im allmost positive. my opinion? on the track im positive id get better time from the corolla. anyone who says diferent needs to do some research and quit bein pressed over the evo. COME ON PEOPLE!!! the Lancer LS is 120 hp and like 130 ft Lbs. of torque!!! get real! its the mitsubishi version of a 1.6L Civic.

Boy what a race you have just hope you brought something to eat because you might get hungry before they finish the 1/4 mile if the toyota is a 6cyl then take the Toyo. If they are both 4 cycl. deffinatly take the lancer, he would have to fall asleep at the wheel at the starting tree to lose this one

lancer , dude havent you driven an evo , although its modified but the platform's same and anyways if you compare the specs you can easily make that out.
