Im not sure if it's legit, but if it was I guess I would be a multimillion aire by now. How many of you have received emails by so-called online lottery companies(and there are different names they go by) informing you that you have been choosen by a random drawing of emails of users world wide by a computer system and that you have won $1,000,000 U.S. dollars. I don't know about you, but I constantly recieved emails like these once every month or so and each time its by a different lottory company with different sponsors. I think there are evil and desperate people out there who would do anything to steal your identity and money to go to this length. The reason why I'm posting this is to find out am I the only target of this so-called online lottery or are there many people out there who also have been the victim of this cruel tactic. If this by any chance happens to be honestly true, then let me know if you have actually won anything. Most likely this is a fraud.

Usually when you recieve an email like these, you are being bated to enter some variation of a 4-1-9 scheme. The folks responsible will likely ask you to send them a chunk of money to hold your "winnings" for you. They might even ask you to travel to Nigeria or some other foreign area and try to fleece you for more money. Once again, if it sounds to good to be true and pertains to money, it's most likely a scam. You can yahoo search any of these terms to hear specific variations of this age old scam.

FRAUD! Of course it is a fraud! They probably want your bank account number so that can take all of your money.

If the state where you live has an Official Lottery, it is safer to play it, than something you get online that is a fraud. Be careful.

I never get them.

yes i have got many such mails and deleted. But i have seen a programme in which one person said he had lost some money, but awaken before getting looted. Just avoid any communications to such mails. if you start respond then you will be brain washed/ tempted and finally you will be the looser.

I get about 10 of these per day. I don't even bother to open them. I have trouble believing there is anyone out there stupid enough to fall for this. If they are sent through yahoo you can forward them to "abuse@yahoo.com".
