i love reading books but unfortunately i've lost the consistent habit i had, to read, as i grew up. how do u "know" which book will suit u? i love reading self-help and inspirational books- but how do i know that they will align with my personality?

Go to a public library and check some books and see which ones you enjoy the most. Then buy the ones you like. Keep in mind that depending on the mood, circumstances, etc some themes that you might not like now, could be perfect in a few weeks or months.

Often I don't know, but simply walk into a bookstore and browse, something will catch your interest.
I also go to thrift stores and book outlets - because if I'm paying less I'm more willing to experiment on what I read.

If you are loking for something heavy - try looking for something light. A romance or fiction, to perk your interest in reading again.

Failing that, magazines always leave me craving serious literature!

i don't understand. reading books doesn't have to do with personality.you can read whatever you like at the moment. do you read all kind of books ? classical literature ? europeans ? comic books ? mythology ? psychology ? try reading something that you haven't before, something that differs from what you've read so far, and see if it suits you. i'm afraid it's all about you like a certain book and not if it suits your personality....

one has to try new things, experiences, life is a learning experience and we all need to keep growing. before i buy a book, i usually read a few pages of it to see if i might like it, i love self help books and also Sylvia Browne's books lots of good information in them
