All bleaching harms your skin. Your best best is to visit a salon and ask around.

I understand you; I am also Asian. I have done a little bit of travelling, and the Asian skin color is very much patronized especially in Northern America and Europe. I am proud of my color. But, if I am not yet convincing you, try Philippine papaya soap, Chinese pearl cream, Thailand's gluthatione pills, lemons (any kind), sulfur soaps, or services like Japanese Obagi treatment. I am not sure with Sri Lanka, but there should be papayas and pearls.

Avoid the sun during the mid-day, and put on lots of sunblock and moisturizers!

(If there's something I want to improve on: white teeth, remove all scars on my skin, and ears that listen more than mouth's talking.)
