How to study A Level Mathematics Special Paper?

Does anyone have tips for this, especially for people not taking further math? It's the old Special Paper by the way, the one used in Singapore. Any theorems, manipulation tricks, concentrate on some qualitative answers? Aside from doing lots of practice papers. I'm doing the statistics option, by the way. The ten year series past year questions don't have answers, which is a pain. Any help much appreciated! =)
