There are a few artists that show up more than once on my iPod under the artists list. I cant figure out what causes this. I have checked the spelling, etc.. Any ideas?

It's really annoying!
I have the same Artists names appearing several times!
I found out that because I have several Albums from that Same Artist it appears as a List of 2 or 3(When you list 'ARTISTS')
I select 'ALL' and it lists the Song titles.
Not sure what else I can offer you!

i have experienced this
do some of the different artists have capitals and others dont, have you checked the grammer, if they are all the same...
...your iPod has a virus! so...
...get a new one

for me, its generally whilst theres an area in front of the call, that could divide it out.. or it has a logo that cant be shown so ex: david bowie david bowie(area after or area earlier) could be divided into diverse artists
