The constitution of India gives to all its citizens the Right to Freedom of Religion
Article 25 of the Indian constitution provides:
Freedom of conscience and free profession, practice and propagation of religion.—
(1) Subject to public order, morality and health and to the other provisions of this Part, all persons are equally entitled to freedom of conscience and the right freely to profess, practice and propagate religion.
The words "subject to public order, morality and health and to the other provisions of this part", indicates that every person has a right to practice and propagation any religion or not to practice and propagation any religion if it does not violate public order, morality and health and any other provisions of the Constitution. Nobody can force anybody to practice any region.

This is an excellent question. This is what is required for the younger generation to go forward.India is a democracy and religion is a personal choice. You can follow the same procedure like change of name and give a declaration in news papers and gazette (??) that you have renounced your religious beliefs and hereafter you will remain non religious and secular.
I was born as a Muslim but i believe God and would like to respect and embrace good things from all religions. May be i would prefer the term secular as my religious belief.

NA or N/A or just leave the space blank. Religion is not compulsory in India. Although it is hard to be otherwise as there are lots of enjoyable things to do regarding festivities, and such. When I lived ther I enjoyed most of the festivities, Hindu, Muslim, Jain, Buddhist and so on, as all intelligent people should, I feel.

There is no bar. a person has the liberty not to disclose his religion. he also has the liberty to practice atheism and agnosticism. secular is also an acceptable option. No one can object to these except temple trusts, madrasas etc.
