Where did you get that bullshyte.? have you been listening to some backwoods baptist or pentecostal preacher again? Teaching sex ed to our children is the best way for them to learn how not to get diseases and unwanted pregnancies. And before anyone says look at all those 12 year olds just going at it like rabbits, they got sex ed, yes, but they also have parents who don't show them the slightest bid of love, All their parents care about is money and popularity. When parents actually spend more than 10 minutes a day with their kids, the kids develop self respect, which those kids obviously don't have.

I think sex education should be taught. It would prepare children with the risks of having sex(pregnancy, std's, etc.) at such young ages. My mom didn't even talk to me about sex, and I had to find out about it all on my own. My daughter will be 13 in Dec. and I plan on talking to her about it then. I don't really think there are any disadvantages.

I'm in the process of becoming an educator and have learned from statistics that teaching children sex education AND recommending abstinence is proven to be the most effective. Its weird because they are contradicting, but children wanting to learn things and do things are two different stories. We teach them drugs, but tell them not to do them, same concept.

The advantages are that when they have sex it is far more likely to use protection and be aware of STD. The perceived disadvantage is that children are more likely to have sex but they are more likely to be influenced by films, TV, adverts and their friends.

Sex education is Biology. A good Sex Education course will provide students with cold medical facts relating to human intercourse. Ignorance of this subject results in higher rates of teen pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, and other STDs. Parents, who are often too uncomfortable to speak with their children, cannot be relied upon to provide an adaquate education.

I think its very important to teach kids about sex...i think the main problem is at what age? If we start talking to them to early about it then we made them aware of something they dont really need to know just yet and it may confuse them. If we wait to long then we have kids how have already tried it because noone told them the consequences of having sex. Kids should know though because if they are going to have sex at least with some knowledge of whats to come they will be more caution in thier explorations. It just so controversial.

I thinks kids should learn about SEX ED,

I also think people should put their kids on Birth Control at 13.. Because if you like it or not, kids are having sex that young, and if you think your kid wont do it than you need to look around in schools today..

I would like to know what people think about what i said, and ill check back,, Also My SN is jw_mahoney81 i would like to know what you think about what i said..

And when they cone out with a safe male birth control, (I hope its out by the time my son is 13) I will give it to him,, No questions asked.. And the dont have one out by than, ill give him a supply of PLAN B, and tell him if he has sex to make sure he gives it to the girl he has it with, and use protection>>>>>

i think we should bc then they can know what can happen if they do choose to have sex i think that is why they do it bc they do not know what are the consquences that well. If they do not get tought then they learn wrong things about sex and there bodies.
