Hi:
The answer is yes, in fact the more I study science the more of God I see. For example when the Bible said " God said 'Let there be light'". science as discover that the universe had been light twice - The First time is when the exploding from the Big Bang cool down to the point were atoms could form, the whole universe was light then the light went out over time but the shock-waves that rebounded from it cause some of the hydrogen atom to form stars and the universe lit up again and light was found again - in fact science and the Bible agree on creation up to the point of man- When they get to man ceation they have a problem
personally all science does is fill in the detail of what God said in the Bible. Make you wonder

Now I doubt you know anything about string theory... How on earth does explaining the mechanism of how the universe works contradicts or proves the existence of god? The best you can do is to contradict the organized religion which claims things like the universe is 5600 years old or that the earth is flat and rests on the horns of a bull. Why you don't ask the same question about a physicist who believes in big bang or quantum mechanics which rejects determinism is beyond my comprehension too. At least those guys believe in something which has a strong experimental and observational data on their side.

i think a string theorist has to believe in God. how can the same set of rules not apply to matter at a quantum level as it does to larger matter if there isn't some sort of superior being masterminding such intricacies?? string theory and quantum physics are a great argument that there really is a God.

I think there is more evidence to indicate god than the evidence to indicate string theory. Especially if you start the explore the idea other dimensions.
