Why do married men cheat?

I believe they cheat because either their wife makes them feel less like a man than they think they are or the wife never seems interested in what they have to say or interested in touching them anymore. They feel alone or neglected and an affair gives them an attention that they long for and aren't getting at home. I don't think it's a good thing but they feel like less of a man when at home so they want someone who treats them with respect that they think they deserve or makes them feel needed. Men NEED to feel needed.

I have been married for 27 years and I have never cheated but I am a woman. Heterosexual men cannot cheat without a woman. So women are in it too.

There are many reasons husbands and wifes cheat on each other it depends on the situation. Some its just that the husband or wife has lost interest in the other sexually that is for reason such as illness or something on that level. They still care about the other but they want a physical relationship as well that is no longer there and you cant blame them. some married men cheat for a thousand reasons. WE cannot come up with a specific reason for that because of our individual differences, so its hard. What i just know is that they would not do it, if they are satisfied with their wives not only sexually but also emotionally. Some wives just nag and nag without really asking for the truth.
