I have yahoo music engine but I don't really like it. I was just wondering if there was an add in or something that would let me play launchcast stations on windows media player

Yes, but for some reason it's got more bugs in it. When I try playing radio on YME the songs keep skipping on to the next song without ever playing one. It does this indefinitely. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling...but nothing.

YOu can listen to LAUNCHcast through three clients:
1. Yahoo! Messenger
2. The player on the Y! Music website: http://music.yahoo.com/launchcast/default.asp
3. Through the Yahoo! Music Jukebox. You can download the Jukebox here:

YOu cannot listen through WMP

I have Yahoo Launchcast as well and love it... except for the same reason as you... I hate listening to it through Yahoo Messenger. I think the build they are using is just buggy. As previous versions of it, from a year or more ago, it did not crash as often or freeze my computer up.

Have you tried listening to it through the (Yahoo) Launchcast website?

I find that choosing to listen to it there as opposed to listening to it through YME it does not skip and crash at all.

I am not sure how you would listen to it through Windows Media Player, but I have heard that it can be done.

It's the same software only with yahoo's name on it instead of microsoft's.
