I like my job a lot.

I do heavy steel construction. I weld, cut, form, steel and other metal and make Boilers for power plants, Nuclear plants, Oil refineries, and any other form of pressure vessels. I read blue prints, I do heavy rigging setting steel structures, and a lot more.

When I drive down the road I can say to my kids.

See that?
I built it...

and that is cool.

I am a Starbucks Learning Specialist. Basically, I plan and coordinate training for Starbucks partners across my local Market Business Unit (MBU). In my job, I get to meet a lot of people, new ones every other day and help them to gain the essential knowledge and skills to be able to improve on their current position or advance to a higher position within the company.

I love my job because it is very flexible, my boss is very understanding, the partners are beutiful, the company rewards its partners well (it pays one of the highest basic salary amongst its competitors in the same line) and hey, the coffee is the best in the world.

Besides, being a part of a rapidly growing company and being involved in making history every day is a real reward to me. I've been with this company for +- 4 years. I started from a part time Barista, got promoted to Shift Supervisor, Assistant Manager then Learning Specialist. It really has been an enriching and fulfilling career so far I can say.

If you are looking for a career in Hospitality/F&B Services, love to meet people and game for challenges, Starbucks may be a good place for you to start as it provides all the necessary training and tools that you need.

Whatever your choice is, all the best!

"Hi 1 me!
I'm an old guy now. I don't work ... I'm disabled.
As I look back on my college days, I wish I had taken up Medicine, Sciences and Mathamatics. I read lots of Journals listing all the many inventions, innovations and discoveries. It's more exciting now than anytime in the past. I cannot help but wish I'll still be here in the next 20 years, but, I won't. I can only imagine what my career could have been if I had applied myself towards the things I liked to do.
I'll admit that I wish I had my doctorate in Psychology or Psychiatry to help make a contribution to the sum total of the knowledge of mankind.
Man, read up on the many occupations available right away. Look deeply into yourself, but, mix your brain and heart in your decisions ... using all your facilities that tell you "that's the right thing for me."
Go for a doctorate! You can do it! Just work hard now!!! It gets easier later, but, don't tell anyone I said that."

I'm an artist and I LOVE my job!!!

I used to work in finance, I hated it even though I was good at it. I hated the people, the nagging feeling I was only working to support corporate wellfare and the "Greed" mentality.
I quit that kind of work about a year ago, even though I've always been an artist. I just do my art full-time now and couldn't be happier...

Ok, yeah, I could be happier. If I made a more comfortable living through my artwork. But that's wholely depends on my dedication to that goal. So, yeah, I still love my job!

I'm a lab officer in a University. I teach new students how to use the equipments and run the practical lesson.

It's fulfilling when i get students that come back to me and say "thank you". It means that I have truly passed on what I've learnt to them. (all my studies weren't in vain )
