He is correct in one thing. Life would be better if you cleared all debts. Money make more problem in marriage than anything else including cheating. People spend spend and spend and then are so buried they cant see away out except for Divorce.

Then Divorce makes it worse because more debts. Sucks.

You can not make someone agree to divorce. Just as it seems he can not make stop the divorce.

If you wanted to save the marriage there are many ways to do this and yours does not look that bad from what you wrote.

But! You want a divorce. Something else is happening that your not telling us or your soon to be ex.

Good luck to you but you can not force him to agree to a divorce. You will have to file and fight it out in court.

Watch Entertainment Tonight, listen to any bio on actors or musicians, or what have you. I just think that's really sad. If one of the other of you wanted to sleep around or didn't like the other, why did you do it to begin with. You need to look back on why you got married and be happy. Yes, lovey dovey. No, not a lifetime sentence. Be nice to each other.

he is just putting off what can be done now!! Once you cler all debts, life will not be any better. That is like saying " life will be better when I am a size 12" when you are fat. it will not get better. if he has abused you, leave. simple as that!

My ex begged me to go to counseling to save the marriage. I went but only to prove to him that the marriage could not be saved. One session together and the counselor told me not to come back and told him that he needed to continue counseling for his control issues. He signed the papers.
