Performing your job with professionalism and integrity should be enough. If it isn't perhaps getting the boss to like you is not what you should be trying to do.

Do the best you can at your job, be considerate of others, don't fall into the trap of talking about other co-workers, stay away from that stuff. Be on time, and if needed, work alittle overtime.
