Alligators are basically carnivorous and scavengers.
They usually eat fish and birds but they have no problem even in eating a floating corpse of a dead animal or even their young gators ( i.e. they are also cannibals.)
The main food type remains marine and the second most is avian when they get a chance they take a bite of delicious land skippers even.
Well that's their diet and massive too and according to their increasing length it keeps increasing too.

They eat snails, crabs, amphibians, fish, birds, snakes and mammals — including small calves. They are not picky eaters.

flesh any type, if it's in the way and close enough it will eat it, you can throw any meat types towards it and it will eat it and they are not fussy either
