Don't use carmex its gross. The best I ever used was at Bath & Body works, they are these fat tubes in different scents, you will recognize them when you see them. Or you can get cocoa butter in a lip balm tube at your local CVS. It works just as good as carmex but it tastes yummy.

I've tried nearly every kind there is. What works the best in my experience is CocoCare cocoa butter lip balm. You can find it in the lotions aisle. It's a yellow tube with brown writing. After only using it just once or twice, my lips were completely healed, whereas I didn't think anything would fix them before that. The other kinds out there don't hardly work at all as far as I can tell, but someone else may have different results due to their own unique body chemistry.
But I do also like the Fruit Smoothies by Blistex.

Carmex is good for dry chapped lips, and if you don't like that menthol kinda thing, I love Aquaphor, from the makers of Eucerin, it is dermatologist recommended and it is clear and has no taste or odor. Chapstick brand is alright but I don't think as good as the 2 I recommended.
