Have any of you ever read a book? Have you engaged your brain in any way whatsoever before spewing your ignorance onto those who may, perhaps, be even more retarded than you? Do you only ever interact with people as deficient as you via the use of cheap mobile phones and awful text-speak?
I repeat - why are you so mind-blowingly ignorant? It frightens me that people like you have the vote. Justify yourselves.

Hey,
For a start, you must be "mind-blowingly" ignorant to use the word "everyone".
No, actually not "everyone" is ignorant; in fact, the majority of people are not.
Why don’t you ignore them? They want, and crave attention and you are feeding into their hands.
I am generally a nice person. However, I do dislike someone calling a retard, a cretin and ignorant.
You may say you did not mean certain people, although you cannot justify this as you used the word "everyone", which is actually rather ironic as the use of that is ignorant.
So, miss pig ignorant...
I read all the time. I actually am studying for my A levels at a private school in England-History, politics, economics and psychology.
I read loads of books, circling different issues and topics.
My mobile is not cheap...I do not take it out with me all the time.
I rarely talk in "text-speak". However, who cares if people do? Have you ever thought they cannot afford to spend so much on texts so cut it down in order to be able to say more?
Does it directly affect you?
"It frightens me that people like you have the vote. Justify yourselves."
It frightens me that people like you are not locked up...miss pig ignorant accuses everyone of such behaviours...so in your eyes no one should be able to vote.
Look at yourself; I am sure you are not so perfect...
Seek anger management...
You have inspired me to write a question...
"Why is little miss pig ignorant so bloody ignorant"
Oh and I repeat…Engage your brain else you will not get far in this world.
P.s. "blowingly" is not a real word...hence why it is put in speech marks.
Run a spell chck next time you cretin.

Why is everyone so mind-blowingly ignorant?

Ignorance is bliss.

Have I read a book?

I read a book about Jennifer Yellow Hat and Peter Blue Hat or something, once.

Have I engaged my brain?

No. No, I have not.

Do I only ever interact with bad text speak?

No. I can rarely be bothered to type a message. I just call.

Why am I so mind blowingly ignorant?

I don't know, really.

Do I win a prize?

Stampy, don't be so harshly judgemental, get to know the media you are entering into before you put your words before the world.
Some of your thoughts may well apply to sections of the population of any country or nation, the whole world is in a state of flux at this moment in time, it isn't a pretty sight and yes it is frightening, however, let me put your mind at rest.
There are some very clever, very bright and very witty people who use YA as indeed there are those who are not.
So come on in Stampy, reserve your anger for worthier matters and enjoy the diversity of a world, asking and answering questions in their own unique and fascinating way.
Good luck with future questions and answers

Why is everyone on yahoo answers so mind-blowingly ignorant?

Hm, using the word EVERYONE implies that you include yourself. And in this aspect, I must agree with you: YOU ARE MIND-BLOWINGLY IGNORANT!

As for the rest of us: There are plenty people here who do know how to think and actively do so, either looking for help or trying to give it. So to start the question with "Why is everyone" is a generalisation which doesn't even come remotely close to the true number of "mind-blowingly ignorant" people on Yahoo! Answers.

I think you got the response you were looking for. Not bad for your first day. When I joined I had to get to Level 2 before I could ask a question and it took months because I am not on here that much. The rules must have changed.

By the way, I am very well read thank you.

Ignorance is a lack of knowledge. Ignorance is also a "state of being ignorant" or unaware/uninformed. Ex: "In debate class Bill lost the debate because he was ignorant in (without knowledge of) that subject." In such a case the term is not pejorative, and may even be used as a self–descriptive term, as in "I am ignorant of (some subject or topic)". Ignorance can also be more than a lack of knowledge. It can include a deliberate intent to ignore knowledge or facts that conflict with what someone believes or wants to be true.

Ignorance is often misinterpreted as a synonym of Stupidity, and is as thus often taken as an insult, when really it is, in its correct form, not an insult at all but more of a criticism. Hence the derogatory aphorism "You can fix ignorance but you can't fix stupid."

So are we ignorant or just plain stupid?
I read books lots of them. so what does this mean ? im NOT ignorant because i read books? or we just stupid !

I beg to differ! There are some people on here who are alarmingly ignorant but I for one (and I know that I am amongst others) who have the ability to argue rationally and have definitely read at least one book in their lives! I never use text speak and I can spell without resorting to a dictionary. Sweeping generalisations often offend.

I recognise the point you wish to make.

It occurs to me that you might have expressed the question in a manner that would prompt a reasoned response.

In some cases a visceral reply can be as illuminating a one based on research and experience. I don't think that replies in 'Answers' are expected to be scholarly or authoritative. Often its enough just to express an immediate feeling.

There is a whole science of gut reaction that should interst you.

If you were as smart as you are trying to have us believe, then you wouldn't have to ask this question.

The people who ask their questions here, however they may seem to you are at least true to themselves, admitting that they do not KNOW IT ALL, but they would like to learn and maybe someday KNOW IT ALL.

That is far better than people who claim to know it all but when crunch time comes, turn out to know only the way of placing blame in others' hands, and not the resolution of their own questions or problems.

KNOWLEDGE is useless if it is not shared. Those who have it or make it appear that they have it but do not share it are far more ignorant that those who seek knowledge.

Some people like books, some cellphones and computers. Who are you to decide which is more superior? Knowledge is only as good as those who know how to use it.

Who are you to ask people to justify themselves? It's narrow-minded discriminating bigoted people like you who should be asked why you are on this earth in the first place.
