Sure it is . I believe it is as plain as day.
When you were born your parents taught you the things which they believe would be essential for your growth. It was based on their truths.
Along the way your relatives(aunts, uncles), teachers, local fireman, police man and even the media helped to construct and form the truth around you. Were talking day in, day out. Total formulating, tabulating, subtracting the good as you know it from the bad which your were taught.
Your truth is your identity until someone else, something else comes along and offers new ways of exploring, reflecting and sometimes imposing...... on the your truths.
Who and what you are is based mostly on what you were told, how you were told and what you have come to know right now as your truth...your identity.
Examples: a battered women will believe that she is a victim and sometimes continue on a path and play victim. Someone gave her this name/ role, she identified, she acts on it.
Another example: You are constantly told your beautiful ever since you were young. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder is truth. You go through life exhibiting extreme confidence until your experiences proves different.

Wow good q! They are separate entities and so would seem to be unrelated. However I think you can find greater identity through greater truth, but not necessarily visa-versa. If you seek identity, you can become distracted and actually see things through a self created distortion. If you seek truth first, then you will have a much greater chance of finding identity
