If so which one do you think works better for back pain?

I've been to both, and actually worked in a chiropractor's office for a while. The bones and muscles work together in relation to back pain or the relief thereof. Your best bet would probably to see both a MT and a chiropractor, depending on the type of pain you're experiencing. If you're muscles are tight, the chiro adjustments might not work as well, etc...

It depends on why you have a back pain. If it is predominantly muscular then you should be helped by a massage therapist, however if your problem is skeletal then you need a chiropractor. Frequently it is a combination of both skeletal problems that lead to or are caused by tight or tense muscles, in which case you could benefit by having a massage and a chiropractic adjustment.

Never been to a massage therapist, but have been to a couple of chiropractors.

After rear ended in an automobile accident, my neck and back hurt so bad. I started going to a chiropractor. I loved going. I felt so good afterward. After coming home feeling so good after a couple of months, my husband actually accused me of having an affair with my chiropractor because I always came home feeling so good and in such a good mood. Does that tell you anything? I definitely wasn't having an affair!!! But, I felt like a different person when I came out of his office.

i've been to one off and on for at least the last 15 years, especially after our car accident, i knew i was sore but not HOW really sore till after months of adjustments and massages. I suggest both to everyone, get adjusted with a massage after..Ahhhh yeah
also if you can find any massage therapist that does a salt rub ( i think its called) I HIGHLY suggest it

I've been to both. A chiropractic works on the skeletal aspects of the body and the massage therapist works on muscular aspects. They complement each other. I won't go to one without seeing the other.

Jeff is a God send. Yes I know my Chiropractor's first name. He's is empathetic and knowledgeable. I do not have any back problems thanks to him. He made sure that I did not have any physical defects, then address every ache and pain and resolved them all!

Ciropractor, because he puts stuff back in order. Throwing in a massage is always a plus.
