I'm a senior majoring in human resources and I would like to get an HR related internship. However I really need to get going on getting one and I got an interview for a management trainee internship at Wal-greens. I don't want to continue in retail, but is this still good experience in management and HR? I'm so scared if I accept this internship I'll regret it (if I'm offered the position). Any thoughts, opinions?

My bf spent 9 years in the Army, and went to Iraq for a year. No thanks.

Walgreen's is a very good company to work for. But it is retail and to create a good resume, you should stay at least 5 years, get a good track record. If you do not want retail, why not try a employment agency, see what they have for HR.

You won't get much on a resume workingt at a retail chain. Might as well call a McDonald's shift manager a leadership position. I recommend looking at the Army for the 42A HR position. You learn HR and more, plus the Army looks awesome on a resume, you can get your student loans paid off, receive a bonus and get your MBA while in the Army. Where else can you get all of that experience???
