I understand that TWA is now a wholly owned subsidiary of AMR. Why is it stock still trading (i.e. TWAIQ)?

Its stock in a corporation that doesn't exist anymore. Its just paper, worthless paper. But, its not trading on any exchange, its the Pink sheets, where there is nothing to stop any one from trading what ever they could dream up.

Basically it's worthless paper. It traded a whole $4 worth of script today.

Because stock is always worth the chance that it might be worth more later. It is still huge!
