Yes, quite a lot for a town/city the size of where I live. Solutions? Probably a combined
need for more low cost and/or free psychological services, alcohol/drug programs & jobs programs.

No, neither city we are residing in nor city I artwork in has many (if any) homeless people who're out and approximately. we are close to adequate to Chicago inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, and have continuously been notably ordinary travelers. There are factors of the city the place you does no longer hit upon a homeless person in any respect, and there are factors the place they are mendacity down interior the path of the sidewalk. we've been to the two with our childrens. no longer lots to describe... we purely tell it like it extremely is: whilst human beings run out of funds and have no pals or kinfolk to show to, they could desire to stay on the streets. a selection of of them are hooked on drugs or alcohol, or have a psychological ailment, which makes it perplexing for them to discover a activity and get off the streets. it extremely is totally unhappy, and if we ever have the prospect, it extremely is sturdy to help them.

Yes, a lot of people are. Technically, i am. I am couch hopping.
A permanent solution? I dunno about that. I fancy socialism. I have a lot to offer the world, but i have a mental illness as well. It keeps me from a 9-5 job but i would make a great sociologist, i already do a lot of research. I just don't have the funds to house me, feed me, clothe me and get my butt to berkley.. *sigh*

i don't see them but there will be.
the governments should take a lot of the responsibility to help any genuine needy person but it will never happen because we don't speak up & try to get help for the homeless, we just let the churches do the work & think that is enough

There will always be homeless people. You can improve the situation, but never eliminate it. There will always be some people who cannot take care of themselves and have no one to look after them.
